Farquar aboard the MV Illusions
Fresh from the Seychelles, it's enough to make you about turn and get onto the next plane back.
Steve Cochrine and Basil Main ventured to the renowned salt water paradise of Alphonse and St Francois islands, while Iain Stevenson, John Geils and crew waded through the flats of Farquar aboard the MV Illusions.
To say that the fishing was off the scale would be putting it mildly.
Few places on the planet can produce GT's, Bonefish, Milkfish, Bumphead Parrotfish and Napolean Ras as well myriad of reef species within a single week.
It truly is the Valhalla of salt water fly fishing.
As you might or might not know, both islands have recently been bought by developers and the opportunity to revel in this caliber of fly fishing at a rate that justifies the experience will be short lived.
The season is basically over now and will reopen from November 2008 through to April 2009. We have reserved select dates according to the prime fishing season and negotiated an exclusive deal with both Alphonse and Farquar to give you the best possible package.
